They Framed an Innocent Woman, but the Prison Giant Didn't Know Who She Really Was
The Showdown in the Yard
The heat rising from the cracked concrete of Blackwood Penitentiary’s yard was suffocating, but it was nothing compared to the suffocating tension of the crowd. Dozens of inmates in faded orange jumpsuits formed a wide, silent circle. In the center stood Zoe, a slender woman with a short, neat brown pixie cut. She wore standard-issue orange pants and a simple black t-shirt, looking completely out of place among the hardened criminals. But her eyes, cold and sharp as flint, held no fear.
Towering over her was Leo, a colossal, heavily tattooed man with a bald head and a jagged scar running down his goatee-covered jaw. He was the undisputed king of the yard, a man who had broken guards and inmates alike. He looked down at Zoe, his lips curling into a mocking sneer as the golden hour light cast long, dramatic shadows across the dirt.

"Well, show us what you're capable of," Leo rumbled, his deep voice carrying across the silent crowd.
The inmates erupted into cheers and jeers, hungry for a spectacle. Leo threw his head back, flexing his massive, tree-trunk arms and letting out a guttural, menacing roar that echoed off the high barbed-wire fences and watchtowers. He expected Zoe to cower, to run, or to beg for mercy. Instead, she stood perfectly still, her posture relaxed, her gaze locked onto his.
To everyone's shock, Zoe didn't back down. Instead, a slow, calculated smile spread across her face. She had spent years in special operations, learning that the biggest giants always had the most vulnerable pressure points. Leo lunged forward, his massive hand reaching out to crush her shoulder, but Zoe moved with blinding speed, dodging his grasp and striking a precise nerve cluster on his wrist. Leo gasped, his arm instantly going numb as he stumbled back in shock.
