How an Army Sergeant Tried to Frame Me with a Lie That Backfired Completely
Previously: When Sergeant Davis tried to humiliate Navy Lieutenant Amanda in front of her entire unit with a planted piece of evidence, he didn't realize she was three steps ahead of his malicious game.
The Commander's Office
Within thirty minutes, the incident had escalated to the highest level of authority on the base. Amanda stood at strict attention in Base Commander Miller’s office, her eyes fixed on the wall ahead. Beside her stood Sergeant Davis, who was doing a poor job of hiding his smug satisfaction. He had already spun a web of lies, claiming that Amanda had physically assaulted him without provocation and that she was engaging in highly unprofessional conduct in the barracks.
"Lieutenant, these are extremely serious allegations," Commander Miller said, his brow furrowed as he looked over the written complaint Davis had filed. "Do you have anything to say in your defense?"
"Yes, sir," Amanda replied, her voice firm. "I request that we view the security feed from the eastern corridor outside the barracks. It was recently upgraded, and it captures the entrance to the room perfectly."

Davis scoffed, crossing his arms. "The hallway camera won't show what happened inside, sir. She attacked me, plain and simple. She's trying to deflect."
Commander Miller ignored Davis and pulled up the security system on his monitor. He queued the footage to the timestamp of the incident. On the screen, the high-definition camera showed Davis walking down the hallway. But he wasn't alone. Walking right beside him, handing him the red lace item, was Captain Sarah Jenkins—the Commander's own administrative assistant, who had been passed over for the promotion that Amanda had recently received.
But that wasn't the most shocking part. As the camera zoomed in to capture the exchange, the footage clearly showed Davis pocketing a flash drive that Captain Jenkins had slipped him along with the clothing. It was a restricted military database drive, containing highly classified logistics plans that had gone missing from the command office just hours earlier.
The atmosphere in the office instantly turned freezing cold. Davis’s smug expression evaporated, replaced by a ghostly, terrified paleness. He had tried to use a petty frame-up to humiliate Amanda, but instead, he had just walked himself and his accomplice directly into a federal espionage trap.
