Previously: When a ruthless boutique manager tries to throw an elderly woman in a wheelchair out of her luxury store, a kind employee steps in—only to discover the woman's shocking identity.

Clara looked up at Liam, tears glistening in her faded blue eyes. She didn't offer words of anger to Sarah. Instead, she reached into a worn vintage envelope she held in her lap and pulled out a faded, black-and-white photograph. It depicted a handsome young man standing proudly in front of a modest watch repair shop, wearing the exact same worn timepiece on his wrist.

"My husband wore it here," Clara whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "On the very day we laid the first brick of this gallery."

Liam looked from the photograph to the massive portrait of the store’s founder hanging on the wall. The resemblance was undeniable. The young man in the photo was Arthur Vance. Liam gasped, his heart hammering against his ribs.

"Is he... is he the founder?" Liam asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Clara looked up, her expression filled with a quiet, unmatched dignity.

"And I am his wife," she replied, leaving both Liam and Sarah completely speechless.

The Escalation

Sarah’s face flushed red, a mixture of panic and deep embarrassment washing over her. But her pride refused to let her back down. She convinced herself this had to be an elaborate scam. No billionaire co-founder would enter a boutique looking like this.

"This is absurd!" Sarah barked, her voice rising. "Arthur Vance's widow is a major shareholder who lives in a private estate. You are an impostor trying to humiliate us. Security, remove this woman immediately!"

Two burly security guards stepped forward, looking hesitant. Liam stepped in front of Clara’s wheelchair, shielding her.

"Stop!" Liam demanded. "Look at the photo, Sarah! Look at her eyes! It's her!"

Clara calmly reached back into the vintage envelope and pulled out an old brass key and a notarized deed of trust. It was the original deed to the land the boutique stood on, bearing both Arthur's signature and her own. Sarah’s hands began to shake as she realized the catastrophic mistake she was making.
