Previously: When a cocky young champion mocks a 68-year-old woman at a shooting range, he has no idea she's an Olympic legend—and she's about to teach him a lesson he'll never forget.

The Final Shot

The onlookers began to whisper. Luke chuckled, crossing his arms. "Looks like the pressure is too much for the old-timer," he mocked.

Margaret closed her eyes. The pain in her wrist was intense, but the memory of Arthur was stronger. She remembered his voice from decades ago, coaching her through her first national championship: "Don't shoot with your eyes, Margaret. Shoot with your heart. Let the weapon become an extension of your soul."

She took a deep, steadying breath. Instead of trying to fight the tremor in her right hand, Margaret did something that shocked everyone in the room. She shifted the heavy revolver to her left hand.

She had never competed left-handed in public, but she had trained for hours with Arthur, just in case.

With absolute composure, she raised her left arm. The trembling stopped. Her focus became laser-sharp.Bang. Bang. Bang.

The three shots rang out in perfect rhythm.

Albert ran to the target retrieval system, his heart pounding. As the target glided back to the line, the crowd pushed forward to see.

Three bullet holes, stacked directly on top of each other, right in the absolute center of the bullseye. It was a perfect, impossible score.

A stunned silence gripped the room before exploding into deafening applause and cheers. Luke stared at the target, his face completely drained of color. He had lost.

"The deed remains intact," Albert announced, his voice filled with pride.

"The sale is officially vetoed."

Luke quietly packed his gear and slipped out the back door, utterly humiliated.

Margaret gently placed her revolver back into her canvas bag. She looked around the range, feeling Arthur's presence closer than ever. She hadn't just saved the building; she had reclaimed her own spirit and proven that true legends never truly fade.
