Previously: When Toby ran onto the helipad with a bloody nose, warning his billionaire boss that his elegant wife had rigged the chopper with a bomb, a web of deadly lies began to unravel.

Arthur’s grip on Eleanor’s arm tightened. The silence between the husband and wife was far more terrifying than the roar of the helicopter engine. Eleanor tried to pull away, her aristocratic composure completely cracking as her eyes darted toward the estate's exit.

The Web of Lies Unravels

"Arthur, release me this instant! You are letting a delusional servant humiliate me!" she hissed, her voice trembling despite her best efforts to sound outraged.

Arthur didn't let go. Instead, he signaled the pilot to shut down the engines. As the rotors slowly ground to a halt, the quiet of the afternoon became absolute. Arthur looked at the stable boy, noting the fresh blood on his face and the genuine terror in his eyes. He then looked back at his wife of ten years, realizing he didn't know the woman standing in front of him at all.

"If Toby is lying, Eleanor, then you have nothing to fear. We will board the flight together, right now," Arthur said, his voice deadly quiet.

Eleanor went pale, her lips parting in a silent gasp. She stumbled backward, breaking Arthur's grip. In her panic, she dropped her designer clutch. It hit the paved path, spilling its contents. Along with her lipstick and compact, a small, black electronic transmitter rolled across the stone, stopping right at Arthur's feet. Toby pointed at it immediately.

"That's it! That's the device the mechanic gave her in the hangar!" Toby shouted.

Realizing she was caught, Eleanor didn't wait. She turned on her heels and bolted toward her sports car parked in the driveway. Arthur’s head of security, who had just rushed onto the lawn, immediately pursued her, tackling her just as she reached the car door. Meanwhile, a faint, rhythmic electronic beeping began to emanate from the helicopter's engine bay. The pilot scrambled out of the cockpit, screaming for everyone to run. Arthur grabbed Toby by the shoulder, and the three men threw themselves onto the grass just as a deafening explosion ripped the helicopter apart, sending a massive fireball into the sky.
