Boutique Owner Kicks Out Homeless Girl, Unaware She Designed the Gown inside
Previously: After being humiliated and kicked out of an upscale bridal boutique by her former partner, a young homeless designer gets a shocking chance to reclaim her masterpiece.
The Secret in the Seams
The tension on the sidewalk was palpable as Victoria reached into her designer purse for her phone. But before she could dial, a sleek black limousine pulled up to the curb. The door opened, and Arthur Pendelton, the billionaire investor who funded the boutique, stepped out. Victoria’s sneer instantly melted into a sycophantic smile as she rushed to greet him.
"Mr. Pendelton! What a wonderful surprise!"Victoria gushed, trying to steer him away from Clara.
"We were just dealing with a public nuisance."

But Arthur's eyes weren't on Victoria. They were fixed on the faded, tattered sketchpad Clara was clutching. He walked past Victoria, stopping directly in front of Clara.
"Young lady, may I see that?"he asked, his voice calm but commanding.
With shaking hands, Clara opened the pad. On the yellowed pages were detailed, hand-drawn schematics of the very gown in the window, dated three years prior. Arthur’s eyes widened. He turned a sharp, questioning gaze toward Victoria, whose face had gone completely pale.
"Mr. Pendelton, she is a fraud!"Victoria stammered, sweat breaking through her expensive makeup.
"She must have stolen those drawings from my trash!"
"If she is the designer, Victoria, then she will know the secret,"Arthur said coldly. He turned back to Clara.
"Tell me, what makes this gown unique?"
Clara wiped her tears and stood tall.
"If you look at the inner lining of the corset, there is a hidden pocket sewn with blue silk thread. Inside, I embroidered the initials 'C.M.' for my late mother. It is my signature on every piece I create."
Arthur marched into the boutique, ignoring Victoria’s desperate protests. He walked straight to the mannequin and flipped up the delicate lace lining. There, stitched in pale blue silk, were the initials C.M.
