Bullies Cruelly Kicked an Old Man's Fishing Rod, Unaware of His Secret Identity
Previously: When three arrogant young men confront a quiet elderly fisherman on a misty dock, they expect an easy target. Instead, they trigger a chain of events that threatens to ruin their families.
The Tables Turn
Thomas slowly rose from his wooden crate, his tall frame unfolding with a deliberate calm that made Jason’s smirk falter. Decades ago, Thomas had served in elite military units, surviving conflicts that these boys could only dream of. Though his joints ached in the autumn chill, his reflexes remained sharp. When Jason reached out an arrogant hand to shove Thomas back down, the old man moved with blinding speed.
With a firm grip, Thomas caught Jason’s wrist, twisting it just enough to apply pressure to the joint. Jason gasped, dropping instantly to his knees on the damp dock. Derek’s eyes widened in fury. He lunged forward, swinging a wild punch, but Thomas simply stepped aside. Derek’s momentum carried him forward, and he crashed hard against the wooden planks.

Scrambling to his feet, Derek’s face flushed red with humiliation. He reached into his black hoodie and pulled out a pocket knife, the blade clicking open with a sinister sound. But before he could step forward, a panicked voice echoed from the shoreline.
"Derek! Put that away right now!"
Running down the gravel path was Richard Vance, the town’s wealthiest real estate developer and Derek’s father. Richard was panting, his face pale with terror. He rushed onto the dock, violently knocking the knife from his son's hand and shoving him back.
Richard turned to Thomas, his hands shaking as he bowed his head in deep respect.
"Mr. Sterling, please forgive him! He didn't know who you were. I am so incredibly sorry," Richard pleaded, his voice trembling.
The three boys stared in absolute shock. They didn't understand why the most powerful man in their town was begging a ragged old fisherman for mercy. They didn't know that Thomas Sterling was the billionaire philanthropist who owned the bank holding Richard’s multi-million dollar business loans, nor did they know he owned the very land beneath their feet.
