Carter’s face went pale. He tapped the screen, and the display lit up, showing a live recording application that had been running the entire time. Not only was it recording, but it was also streaming live to a secure cloud server. Every word Carter had said, every threat, and the entire violent confrontation in the hallway had been uploaded in real-time. Carter’s hands began to shake as he realized his career—and his freedom—were on the line.

"Delete it," Carter growled, taking a step toward Kevin with a menacing look in his eyes. "Delete it right now, or I swear you'll never see the light of day."
