My Ex Humiliated Me at His Lavish Wedding, so I Called My Billionaire Father
Previously: When my arrogant ex-husband forced me to my knees at his high-society wedding, accusing me of theft, he had no idea who my father really was—or what he could do.
The Arrival of the Kingmaker
The silence in the ballroom was absolute. Ryan sneered, convinced that Sarah was merely bluffing to save face. He reached out to grab her arm, but before his fingers could touch her skin, the massive oak doors of the ballroom were flung open. The sudden crash made several guests gasp, and all eyes turned to the entrance.
Four imposing security guards dressed in immaculate black suits marched in, forming a protective corridor. Walking between them was a man whose face was recognizable to every captain of industry in the state. It was Charles Miller, the notoriously reclusive billionaire and real estate magnate. The room held its collective breath; Charles Miller almost never appeared in public, let alone at a private wedding reception.

Ryan’s eyes widened with greed and awe. Sensing an opportunity to secure a powerful connection, he quickly smoothed his tuxedo jacket and stepped forward, leaving Sarah on the floor. He flashed his most charming, corporate smile.
"Mr. Miller! What an absolute honor," Ryan stammered, offering his hand. "I apologize for the chaos. We are currently dealing with a trespasser—a thief who tried to steal from my new wife."
Charles Miller didn't even glance at Ryan's outstretched hand. His cold, piercing gaze swept past him, locking onto Sarah, who was still kneeling on the marble floor. The billionaire’s expression softened into one of deep, protective anguish. He walked straight past Ryan, kneeling down in his bespoke suit to help Sarah to her feet.
"Are you hurt, my sweet girl?" Charles asked, his voice echoing in the silent room.
Sarah shook her head, leaning heavily against her father's strong arm. Ryan stood frozen, his hand still hanging in the air, his face draining of all color. Jennifer and her father, Arthur Brooks, rushed forward, their expressions mixtures of confusion and sheer panic.
"Mr. Miller... you know this woman?" Ryan whispered, his voice cracking.
"Know her?" Charles stood up, his towering frame casting a long shadow over the groom. "She is my daughter, Sarah. And you have just made the worst mistake of your life."
