Previously: Decorated Navy officer Emily walked down the aisle in her dress whites, ready for a new beginning. But when her spiteful ex-husband interrupted the ceremony, a shocking secret was finally unleashed.

Justice Served

Emily reached into the inner pocket of her dress white uniform and pulled out a small, encrypted flash drive. She looked past Carter toward the back of the chapel, where a tall man in a dark suit quietly stood up from one of the rear pews. It was Special Agent Miller of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, a close friend of Emily’s late father.

"You're right about one thing, Carter," Emily said, her voice echoing clearly through the silent chapel. "The federal authorities are indeed on their way. In fact, they are already here."
Emily handed the flash drive to Agent Miller, who had walked down the aisle to join them. She turned back to Carter, whose smug expression was beginning to falter.
"This drive contains the original, unedited server logs from your family's foundation. My father spent his final months tracing the IP addresses. It wasn't me who transferred those millions, Carter. It was you, using my credentials, to cover your own gambling debts."

Carter’s face drained of color. He took a step back, but Agent Miller placed a firm hand on his shoulder.

"Carter Vance-Harrington, you are under arrest for wire fraud, embezzlement, and framing a federal officer," Agent Miller announced calmly, producing a pair of handcuffs.
As the security guards Carter brought quickly backed away, realizing they were outmatched, Carter was led out of the chapel in restraints, his threats turning into desperate pleas.

A collective sigh of relief swept through the chapel, followed by a resounding cheer. Emily looked up at Julian, who was smiling with tears of pride in his eyes. With her name finally cleared and her father's honor vindicated, Emily turned back toward the altar. The ceremony resumed, and as they exchanged their vows under the warm glow of the stained-glass windows, Emily knew that justice had finally prevailed. Sometimes, the greatest victories are fought not on the battlefield, but with the truth.
