My Father Framed Our Innocent Maid, But My Courtroom Outburst Saved Her
Previously: When an innocent maid is framed for a high-society theft, her employer's son risks everything in a tense courtroom confrontation to expose the real thief hiding in plain sight.
The Secret Unveiled
The judge repeatedly banged his gavel, demanding order in the court. "Order! One more outburst and I will have the gallery cleared!" he bellowed. Arthur tried to steer Leo out of the courtroom, whispering fiercely in his ear. "Keep your mouth shut, Leo, or you will ruin this family. Think of your future."
But Leo had reached his limit. He looked at Clara, who was shaking her head, silently begging him to stop. She had lied to the police, claiming she was with Leo in another part of the house during the alleged theft, just to protect him from his father's wrath. Leo had been trying to find his own passport to run away from his father's abusive household.

"No, Father,"
Leo said, his voice echoing in the sudden hush of the room.
"I won't let her take the fall for your crimes."
Leo walked past the wooden swinging gate, entering the well of the court. The bailiffs moved to intercept him, but the defense attorney stood up, requesting the judge allow the young man to speak.
"Your Honor,"
Leo said, turning to face the judge.
"My father claims the necklace was stolen on the night of the fourteenth. But the necklace was never stolen. It was moved. By him."
A collective murmur rippled through the gallery. Arthur’s face turned a dangerous shade of crimson.
"This is absurd!"
Arthur shouted.
"My son is mentally unstable! He doesn't know what he's saying!"
"I know exactly what I'm saying,"
Leo countered, pulling a folded piece of paper from his inner suit pocket.
"Clara didn't steal anything. She was framed because she found these. These are the offshore account statements proving my father is bankrupt. He staged the theft of the necklace to claim a five-million-dollar insurance payout. And when Clara accidentally saw the insurance filing on his desk before the 'theft' even occurred, he set her up to silence her."
The prosecutor frowned, looking at the documents Leo handed to the bailiff. Arthur stepped back, his confident posture collapsing as the trap snapped shut.
