Previously: After forty years of working as a school janitor, sixty-two-year-old Arthur finally graduates—only for his wealthy brother to try and ruin his day, sparking a massive family confrontation.

An Unwelcome Confrontation

The celebration was abruptly shattered by a cold, arrogant voice that cut through the joyful chatter of the hall. "What is this absolute circus?" Richard, Arthur’s wealthy older brother, stepped forward from the VIP seating area. As a prominent donor and trustee of the university, Richard carried himself with an insufferable air of authority. His eyes locked onto Arthur’s green gown, and his face contorted in disgust.

Richard marched over, flanked by two university board members. "Arthur, what on earth do you think you are doing?" he sneered, loud enough for the surrounding families to turn and stare. "Are you playing dress-up? A janitor wearing the gown of this prestigious institution is an insult to everyone here. Take that off immediately before I have campus security throw you out for theft."

Helen stepped forward, her face pale with indignation. "He earned this degree, Richard! He studied every single night while you were sleeping in your mansion!" she protested, her voice trembling. But Richard only laughed, waving his hand dismissively. "Earned it? With what money? He’s a low-wage sweeper. He probably forged his enrollment."

Before the security guards could intervene, Leo stepped in front of his father. He reached into his gown and pulled out a wireless microphone, switching it on. The feedback echoed loudly, silencing the entire hall. Every eye in the room was now fixed on the stage.

"Uncle Richard, I am so glad you decided to show up today," Leo’s voice boomed through the speakers. "Because today, my father isn't just graduating. He is taking back what you stole from him forty years ago."

Leo reached inside his gown once more and pulled out a thick, sealed legal folder. Richard’s sneer instantly vanished, replaced by a sudden, icy panic as he stared at the document in the young man's hands.
