A Five-Year-Old Interrupts a Murder Trial with Her Late Father's Pink Recorder
Previously: When five-year-old Sophie burst into the courtroom, the judge was about to sentence her mother. But the pink toy in her tiny hand held a shocking secret that changed everything.
The Secret on the Tape
The courtroom remained in a stunned silence as Judge Beatrice stared down at the little girl holding the pink toy. Katherine tried to take a step forward, but a stern look from the bailiff kept her in place. The judge gestured to the bailiff to retrieve the recorder from Sophie. "Let us hear what is on this device," Judge Beatrice ruled, ignoring the frantic objections of Katherine’s legal team.
The bailiff connected the pink toy to the courtroom's audio system. A low, static hiss filled the room, making everyone hold their breath. Then, a familiar voice echoed through the speakers. It was David. Clara burst into tears at the sound of her late husband's voice, but the tone of his words quickly chilled her to the bone.

"I know what you've been doing, Katherine," David's recorded voice said, sounding breathless and weak. "You forged my signature on the estate documents."
A second voice, sharp and cold, cut through the recording. It was Katherine.
"You always were too smart for your own good, brother," she sneered on the tape. "But it doesn't matter. By tomorrow, the estate will be mine, and Clara will be the one paying the price."
The tape captured the sound of a cup clinking, followed by David coughing violently. "What... what did you put in my tea?" he gasped. Katherine’s voice laughed coldly. "Something to make sure you never speak again, and something that Clara will be blamed for purchasing."
The gallery erupted into shouting. Katherine’s face drained of all color as she realized her perfect frame-up had just collapsed. Desperate, she spun around and pointed a trembling finger at Clara's own defense attorney, Mr. Harrison.
"You promised me this tape was destroyed!" Katherine screamed in a panic. "You said you got rid of all his personal effects!"
