The Forgotten Boy Who Pulled the Sacred Blade and Shook the Empire
Previously: When the kingdom's strongest warrior failed to claim the ancient sword of destiny, a discarded orphan boy stepped forward to grasp the hilt—and changed the realm forever.
The Rise of the True King
As the spears thrust toward him, Arthur did not flinch. He swung the Sovereign Blade in a wide, sweeping arc. A wave of pure energy erupted from the steel, shattering the guards' spears into splinters and throwing the men backward onto the damp gravel. They lay groaning, disarmed and terrified by the power of the legendary weapon. Borin, consumed by desperation, lunged forward himself. His heavy armor clanked loudly as he brought his sword down in a strike meant to cleave the boy in two.
Arthur parried the blow. The clash of steel echoed through the steep cliffs like a clap of thunder. Despite his slender frame, the magic of the sword gave Arthur the strength of ten men. With a swift, fluid motion, he deflected Borin's heavy blade and stepped inside the warrior's guard. With a sharp strike of the hilt, Arthur knocked the giant to his knees, the tip of the glowing Sovereign Blade resting gently against Borin's throat.

"Mercy," Borin gasped, his arrogance completely gone, replaced by the cold fear of death. "Please, Arthur."
The knights watched, holding their breath, expecting the boy to take his revenge. After years of abuse, hunger, and cruelty, Arthur had every reason to strike the tyrant down. But Arthur looked down at the defeated man, his eyes calm and filled with a wisdom far beyond his years. He slowly lowered the blade.
"A true king does not rule through fear and blood," Arthur said, his voice echoing with authority. "I spare your life, Borin. But your reign of terror is over."
Stunned by the boy's mercy, the remaining knights dropped to their knees one by one, bowing their heads in deep respect to their new sovereign. Arthur looked out over the mist-shrouded ravine, knowing his journey was just beginning. He had claimed the sword, but now he had to reclaim his kingdom—not with vengeance, but with justice. True strength is not measured by the power to destroy, but by the courage to show mercy.
