The ground beneath their feet began to tremble as a brilliant golden light seeped from the cracks of the split boulder. To the absolute horror of Borin and his men, the ancient stone fractured with a deafening crack. With a smooth, effortless motion, Arthur pulled. The legendary blade slid from the rock as if it were nothing but water, its polished steel reflecting the cloudy daylight.

But the true shock came as the sword cleared the stone. A glowing crimson mark flared to life on Arthur's right wrist, burning through the dirt. It was the royal crest of the Pendragon dynasty—the rightful rulers who had been brutally overthrown fifteen years ago. Borin’s face turned pale as he recognized the mark. Panic seized him, and he drew his massive broadsword. "He is a traitor to the crown!" Borin roared, his voice filled with desperation. "Kill him before he can claim the throne!"

Dozens of armed soldiers drew their weapons, surrounding the young boy. Arthur raised the heavy sword, but he had never fought a day in his life. Just as Borin lunged forward to strike him down, a commanding voice echoed through the canyon.

"Stop! If you strike him, you doom this entire kingdom!"

Out of the shadows stepped the High Priest, the keeper of the ancient laws. He held a weathered scroll, his eyes fixed on Arthur's glowing wrist. Borin sneered, refusing to lower his weapon. "He is an impostor, priest! He dies today!" but the priest shook his head. "He is no impostor, Borin. And you know exactly who he is, because your own father was the one who betrayed his family and stole his birthright." The revelation hung in the damp air, freezing the soldiers in their tracks as Borin's dark secret was finally exposed.
