They Framed Me and Put Me in a Maximum-Security Prison—But They Forgot Who I Was
Previously: When a framed detective is sent to a maximum-security prison, the local gang leader tries to break her. But they have no idea about her secret tactical past—or her plan for revenge.
Marcus walked into the center of the yard, a smug, self-satisfied smile on his face. He looked at the bleeding giant pinned under Skye's knee, then looked at her with pure malice. He held a piece of paper in his hand—an official transfer order.
The Ultimate Play
"Step away from the inmate, Skye," Marcus said, his voice dripping with artificial authority. "You've been deemed a high-risk threat. You're being moved to solitary confinement immediately. And we all know how many accidents happen in the dark."

The armed guards raised their rifles, aiming them directly at Skye. Marcus stepped closer, leaning in to whisper so only she could hear. "Did you really think you could beat us, Skye? You're going to die in here, and there's nothing you can do about it."
But Skye didn't look afraid. In fact, she began to laugh. It was a soft, confident laugh that made Marcus's smile falter. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small, metallic object—a high-tech, encrypted recording device. She pressed a button, and Marcus's voice filled the yard, playing a clear recording of the confession he had just whispered, along with detailed coordinates of where he had hidden the bribe money from their corrupt captain.
"I didn't get caught because I was sloppy, Marcus," Skye said, standing up slowly as the other inmates, inspired by her strength, began to form a protective wall around her. "I let myself get sent here. I needed to get close to the Warden's offline database to retrieve the ledger of your entire operation. And thanks to Roman's distraction, my team on the outside has already downloaded it. The FBI is entering the front gates right now."
As if on cue, the prison alarms began to wail, and the sound of heavy tactical vehicles breaching the gates echoed through the facility. Marcus's face drained of color as he realized he had walked directly into a trap. Skye was escorted out of the prison gates that evening, her name fully cleared and her head held high. True strength isn't about the walls that confine you, but the unbreakable resolve you carry within.
