They Framed Me and Threw Me to the Wolves, But They Forgot Who I Was
Previously: When Jade was framed and sent to a maximum-security prison, the guards expected the inmates to break her. But when the yard's most feared giant tried to crush her, she didn't even flinch.
The Tables Turn
Warden Miller stared at Jade, his eyes darting to the guards who had failed to intervene. He had expected to find Jade broken, a warning to anyone else who dared investigate the corrupt syndicate running the city. Instead, he found his most feared enforcer groveling in the dirt. Jade walked slowly toward the warden, ignoring the riot guards who nervously raised their batons.
"You thought sending me here would silence me, Miller,"Jade said, her voice quiet but carrying a terrifying weight.
"But you forgot one detail. I didn't come here to survive. I came here because this is where you keep your records."

The warden’s eyes widened in sudden terror. He realized too late that Jade’s arrest and conviction hadn't been a victory for his corrupt allies—it had been her plan all along. She had allowed herself to be framed to gain access to Blackwood’s internal server, the only place where the syndicate's off-the-books transactions were stored. While Dean had been busy trying to intimidate her, a trusted ally on the outside had already used her smuggled credentials to download the files.
A loud siren suddenly began to wail across the prison, but it wasn't for a riot. Over the PA system, a federal announcement echoed, declaring that the FBI had just seized control of the facility. A fleet of black SUVs breached the outer gates, carrying federal agents with warrants for Warden Miller and his co-conspirators. The corrupt empire was collapsing in real-time.
As the federal agents escorted a handcuffed Miller away, Jade looked back at the stunned inmates. Dean was still on the ground, staring at her with newfound respect. Jade smiled, her braid swaying as she walked toward the exit, a free woman once more. True strength is not measured by the size of your muscles, but by the depth of your resolve and the brilliance of your mind.
