"Sign them, and we’ll give you your passport and a ticket back home. If you don't, we leave you here with nothing."
Eleanor stepped closer, her eyes gleaming with malice. "We have the best lawyers, Sarah. You have no job, no money, and now, no legal status in this country. If you don't sign over the baby to us, we will ensure you are declared unfit and lose everything anyway. This is your only way out." David grabbed Sarah’s arm, trying to force a pen into her trembling hand.
But they had underestimated the silent protector standing right next to her. The moment David’s hand gripped Sarah's wrist, Buster let out a low, menacing growl that vibrated through the terminal floor. The German Shepherd bared his teeth, stepping directly between Sarah and her husband. Officer Miller’s expression hardened instantly. He placed a firm hand on his holster and stepped forward, his voice commanding and absolute.
"Step back away from her immediately, sir!" Officer Miller ordered. "You are harassing a passenger, and my dog is trained to protect. Do not make another move."
