The silence that followed the announcement was deafening. Arthur’s hand trembled as he slowly lowered the handcuffs, his aggressive demeanor vanishing in an instant. He stared at Marcus, his jaw slightly slack as he tried to process the words that had just echoed through the entire terminal. The crowd of onlookers, which had gathered to watch a suspected fraud get arrested, now looked at the security guard with mounting disapproval. Marcus calmly adjusted his collar, looking directly into the eyes of the man who had just assaulted him.

Before Arthur could stammer an apology, the heavy sound of synchronized footsteps approached. Five men marched through the crowd, parting the onlookers with ease. Leading the group was Commander Thomas Vance, a high-ranking naval officer, accompanied by two armed military police officers and the transit station's chief of security, Harold Jenkins.
