"Lieutenant Hayes, thank goodness we found you," the lead officer said, saluting Marcus. "We have an emergency. We need your clearance key immediately."

It turned out that Marcus was not just returning from a standard deployment. He was a high-level naval intelligence officer carrying highly classified transit codes for a military transport passing through the city. The security chief turned a furious gaze toward Thomas.
