He Ordered Me to Get Him Coffee, So I Took His Command Instead
The Stand in Sector Four
The fluorescent lights of the tactical briefing room hummed with a cold, sterile energy, casting sharp shadows across the physical terrain map laid out on the central table. Officer Sarah Mitchell stood perfectly at attention, her spine straight and her chin held high. Across from her stood General Arthur Sterling, a man whose reputation for ruthless discipline was matched only by his deep-seated arrogance. For months, the tension between them had been building, but today, it finally reached its boiling point.
Sterling stepped closer, invading Sarah's space until he was just inches away. He looked down at her with a sneer, his eyes cold and dismissive. Slowly, he raised a thick, calloused finger and pointed it directly at her face.

"A woman's place is in the kitchen," Sterling said, his voice dripping with venom.
The other officers in the room froze, holding their breath. The silence was deafening. Sterling let the insult hang in the air, expecting Sarah to crumble, to apologize, or to look away in shame. Instead, she kept her gaze locked onto his, her expression entirely unreadable. Angered by her lack of fear, Sterling slammed his heavy palm onto the wooden table, rattling the metal coffee mugs.
"Bring me a coffee! Right now!" he bellowed, his face turning a dark shade of red.
Sarah took a slow, deliberate breath. The anger in the room was palpable, but she remained an oasis of calm. She looked at the hand on the table, then back up to the General's furious eyes.
"No," Sarah said, her voice was quiet but carried a chilling authority that echoed off the concrete walls.
Without waiting for a response, she turned on her heel and walked out of the briefing room, leaving the most powerful man on the base standing in stunned, humiliated silence.
