Previously: When Lieutenant Sarah Vale was ordered to strip off her uniform in front of her entire platoon, she knew it was a setup—but her hidden tattoo turned the tables.

The Pack Returns

Vance’s smug expression instantly shattered. He reached instinctively for Sarah's dog tags, but before his hand could touch the silver metal, the heavy roar of a helicopter engine echoed across the desert sky. A black transport chopper bearing the seal of the Joint Chiefs of Staff swept over the base, kicking up a massive storm of dust that forced everyone to shield their eyes.

As the helicopter touched down, a squad of elite military investigators poured out, weapons raised. Leading them was General Briggs, a legendary figure of unquestionable integrity. He marched straight toward the balcony, ignoring Vance entirely.

"Colonel Sterling, Commander Vance, stand down," Briggs’ voice boomed over the megaphone. "By authority of the Department of Defense, you are both relieved of duty and under arrest for high treason, embezzlement, and conspiracy."

The MPs holding Sarah immediately released her, stepping back in shock. Sterling tried to flee from the balcony, but he was quickly intercepted and handcuffed by Briggs' men. Vance fell to his knees in the dirt, staring at Sarah in absolute disbelief.

Sarah picked up her camo jacket, shaking off the desert dust, and slipped it back on. The transmitter hidden in her dog tags had broadcasted the entire confrontation live to Briggs' task force, securing the undeniable confession they needed to bring the corrupt officers down.

She stood at attention as General Briggs approached her, saluting her with deep respect.

"Your father would be proud, Lieutenant Vale. The Grey Wolves have finally been vindicated."

Sarah returned the salute, her heart finally at peace. She had risked her life, her dignity, and her career, but she had cleared her family's name and brought justice to the men who thought they were untouchable. True loyalty cannot be stripped away by corrupt commands; honor always finds a way to shine through the darkness.
