My Husband Abandoned Me While Pregnant, but My Father's Secret Ruined Him
Previously: When Amanda's abusive husband cornered her in her hospital bed, calling her dead weight, he didn't realize the powerful man standing in the corner was about to destroy his entire life.
A Father's Justice
The next forty-eight hours were a whirlwind of anxiety and preparation. While Amanda remained under strict medical supervision, William did not spend his time waiting for Andrew's lawyers to strike. Instead, he unleashed the full force of his legal and investigative teams. By the time Andrew returned to the hospital two days later, flanked by a flashy attorney and demanding a five-million-dollar payout to sign away his parental rights, William was ready.
They met in the hospital's private conference room. Andrew walked in with an arrogant smirk, but it quickly vanished when William tossed a thick manila folder onto the table.
"What is this?" Andrew asked, his voice suddenly faltering.

William smiled, a cold, victorious expression. "That is a complete record of your financial activities over the last three years," William explained calmly. "Including the offshore accounts you used to embezzle funds from your own firm, and the fraudulent tax returns you filed last spring. My investigators are very thorough."
Andrew's face drained of all color as his own lawyer opened the folder, glanced at the documents, and immediately closed it, shaking his head. The threat of custody and public scandal vanished instantly. Facing decades in federal prison, Andrew signed the unconditional surrender of all parental rights and a non-disclosure agreement within minutes, begging William not to send the files to the authorities.
Three weeks later, Amanda gave birth to a healthy baby boy, whom she named Liam, after the grandfather who had saved them both. As she held her son in her arms, looking out at the city skyline with her father standing proudly by her side, she knew her dark past was finally behind her. True family is not defined by those who share your blood and abandon you, but by those who step into the storm to protect you when you need it most.
