Previously: Claire lived in a golden cage, enduring her husband's cruelty in silence. But when he pushed her too far, one tiny device changed the power dynamics forever.

The Tables Turn

Thomas spun around, his eyes darting between Claire and the guards. The absolute control he had exerted over her for years was suddenly slipping through his fingers, and the realization terrified him. "What is the meaning of this?" Thomas demanded, his voice rising in pitch. "I am the master of this house. Secure this woman immediately!"

The lead guard, Marcus, didn't move an inch. Instead, he kept his eyes locked on Claire. "Mrs. Vance, we received the emergency distress signal from your private transmitter. Are you harmed?"

"I am fine, Marcus," Claire said, her voice steady and clear. "But I need Mr. Vance removed from the premises immediately."

Thomas let out a harsh, disbelieving laugh. "Removed? From my own house? You've lost your mind, Claire! I pay these men. I bought this security firm. You have nothing!"

Marcus stepped forward, pulling a sealed document from his breast pocket. "Actually, Mr. Vance, you don't. Your authorization has been officially revoked."

"That's impossible! I signed the transfer papers years ago!" Thomas roared, his face turning a deep, angry crimson.

Claire took a step forward, looking at the man who had terrorized her for so long. "You signed papers to manage my father's estate, Thomas. But you never read the fine print. My father knew what kind of man you were. He inserted a clause: if I ever activated the emergency distress system, all power of attorney, the security firm, and this very villa would immediately revert back to my sole ownership. You have no rights here anymore. You are a trespasser."

The dining room fell into a suffocating silence as the truth washed over Thomas. The ultimate weapon of control he thought he held was actually his own undoing. His hands began to shake as the guards stepped closer, their expressions grim and uncompromising.
