The lobby of the Grand Horizon Hotel glowed with a warm, amber light, but the atmosphere inside was freezing. Nathan stood in the center of the polished marble floor, his tailored black coat flared open over a crisp white shirt. His face was twisted in a mask of pure rage. With a violent kick, he sent a silver suitcase sliding across the floor, where it crashed against a gilded pillar.

"I'm sick of this!"

he shouted, his voice echoing off the high, hand-painted ceilings.

"Nathan, please!"

As she walked into the lobby, her sharp eyes immediately locked onto Sarah’s trembling wrist, where a silver charm bracelet hung. Helena froze, her breath catching. She marched forward, pushing past the security guards. Standing defiantly between Nathan and his pregnant wife, she glared intensely at her grandson.
