Previously: When stable hand Toby overhears his boss's elegant wife plotting a deadly helicopter crash, he risks everything to expose the truth before the engines start.

The Truth Unveiled

The silence between Arthur and Eleanor was deafening. Arthur’s grip on his wife’s wrist tightened slightly as he watched her reactions. Eleanor tried to maintain her composed demeanor, but a bead of sweat rolled down her temple. "Arthur, this is ridiculous," she whispered, trying to pull away. "We are going to be late for the gala. Are you really going to listen to a bloodied stable boy over your own wife?"

Arthur’s voice was dangerously calm. "If Toby is mistaken, Eleanor, then there is no danger. Walk with me to the cabin. Let us fly together."

Eleanor took a step back, her elegant facade completely crumbling. She shook her head, her eyes darting toward the helicopter cockpit. Suddenly, the door opened, and Marcus, the private pilot, stepped out. He was not dressed in his usual professional manner; his jacket was unzipped, and his hand was buried deep inside his pocket. He walked toward them with a menacing stride, his eyes locked onto Arthur.

"Is there a problem, Mr. Sterling?" Marcus asked, his voice flat and cold. "We need to depart immediately if we want to beat the weather."

Toby noticed the outline of a firearm in Marcus's pocket. "Sir, he's in on it too!" Toby shouted, pointing at the pilot. "They beat me up in the tack room when I overheard them planning this! They are having an affair, and they want your fortune!"

The revelation hit Arthur like a physical blow. He looked at Marcus, then at Eleanor, whose defiant expression turned into a venomous sneer. Realizing the game was up, Eleanor pulled her arm free from Arthur's grasp and stepped back toward Marcus. "You always were too trusting, Arthur," she hissed, her voice devoid of any warmth. Marcus drew his weapon, aiming it directly at Arthur's chest. The roaring helicopter blades behind them seemed to scream as the situation turned deadly.
