I Rode Into My High-Society Wedding Covered in Mud to Expose My Groom
Previously: Sarah stood in the grand marble hall, her pristine wedding dress caked in thick mud. As her wealthy groom sneered in disgust, a rugged cowboy in the corner smiled.
The True Deed
Wyatt stepped between Sarah and Richard, his imposing frame casting a long shadow over the wealthy groom.
"That's a real pretty piece of paper, Richard,"Wyatt said, his voice calm and steady.
"But it isn't worth the ink printed on it."
Richard scoffed, adjusting his cuffs.
"Stay out of this, cowboy. This is family business, and you're just a hired hand who couldn't afford a fraction of her father's debt."

Wyatt smiled, reaching into his own jacket to pull out a sealed leather folder.
"Actually, I'm the guy who kept the real books. Sarah's father didn't owe you a dime. He paid off his final loan to your firm a month before he passed, and I have the notarized receipt right here, signed by your own accountant. Furthermore, the sheriff is waiting outside with a warrant for your arrest for forgery and attempted fraud."
Richard's face drained of all color. He looked desperately at his partners, but they were already backing away, wanting no part in his criminal schemes. The crowd erupted into murmurs as two deputies entered the marble hall, heading straight for the disgraced groom. Richard tried to speak, but no words came out as the handcuffs clicked around his wrists.
Sarah looked at Wyatt, her eyes shining with tears of relief and gratitude.
"You saved the ranch,"she whispered.
"I saved our home, Sarah,"Wyatt corrected softly, holding out his hand to her.
"Now let's get you out of this fancy place and back to where you belong."
Sarah took his hand, completely ignoring the mud that smeared between their palms. Together, they walked out of the grand manor, leaving the high-society drama behind them. Riding back to Whispering Pines under the open sky, Sarah knew she had finally found her true partner, realizing that the greatest treasures are never bought with gold, but earned with loyalty and love.
