I Saw My Fiancé and Sister on My Home Camera, and It Changed Everything
Previously: Staring at her phone on a crowded NYC subway, Chloe received a security alert from her apartment. What she saw on the live feed shattered her life—and forced her to fight back.
The Forged Betrayal
Chloe burst through the front door of her brownstone, dripping wet and shivering from the cold rain. She found Marcus sitting calmly on the sofa, scrolling through his laptop. He looked up, his face instantly shifting into a warm, practiced smile that now made Chloe feel physically ill.
"Hey, sweetheart! You're soaked. Let me get you a towel," Marcus said, rising from the couch.
"Save it, Marcus," Chloe said, her voice shaking but resolute. She held up her phone, the recorded security footage playing on the screen. "I saw everything. I know about you and Maya. I know about the deed."
Marcus froze, his smile vanishing. The warmth in his eyes was instantly replaced by a calculating, cold stare. Before he could speak, the guest room door opened, and Maya stepped out, holding a thick manila folder. There was no shame in her eyes—only a cruel triumph.

"Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag," Maya sneered, tossing the folder onto the coffee table. "But it doesn't change anything, Chloe. We didn't need your signature tomorrow anyway. Marcus is quite skilled at replicating your handwriting."
Chloe's hands trembled as she opened the folder. Inside was a copy of a quitclaim deed, transferring the entire property to Marcus and Maya. At the bottom was her signature, forged with terrifying precision, complete with an official notary stamp.
"This is illegal! I'll call the police!" Chloe cried, tears of anger spilling over her cheeks.
"Go ahead," Marcus laughed coldly. "The notary is a close friend of mine, and the paperwork has already been officially filed and recorded with the city. On paper, this house belongs to us. You have twenty-four hours to pack your things, Chloe. If you're still here tomorrow night, we'll have you arrested for trespassing."
Chloe looked at her sister, the person she had trusted most after their parents' deaths. Maya only crossed her arms, looking at her with pure disdain. Chloe felt completely defeated, her home stolen and her family destroyed in a single night.
