James walked out of the warm restaurant and sat down across from Grace. He offered her a gentle smile, encouraging her to eat. As the warmth of the food slowly restored her strength, Grace found herself opening up to this kind stranger. She explained how her fiancé, Tyler, had kicked her out of their apartment the moment he learned she was pregnant, fearing that a baby would ruin his high-society reputation and his family's real estate empire.

As Grace spoke, she noticed James's posture stiffen. When she mentioned Tyler's full name, James's eyes darkened with a mixture of shock and intense anger. Before he could explain his reaction, the screech of tires cut through the quiet evening. A sleek, expensive sports car pulled into the parking lot, and out stepped Tyler himself, looking immaculate in a tailored suit.

"Well, look at you," Tyler sneered, walking toward them with a condescending laugh. "Already begging for scraps. I knew you wouldn't last a day without my money."

Grace trembled, instinctively shrinking back into her hoodie. Tyler ignored James entirely, tossing a leather folder onto the table. "Sign these papers, Grace. It's a full custody waiver. Sign it, and I'll give you five thousand dollars to disappear. If you don't, my family's high-priced lawyers will drag you through the mud, declare you an unfit mother, and make sure you never see this kid again."

Panic gripped Grace's heart as she stared at the legal documents. But before she could speak, James stood up. His tall, imposing frame completely blocked Tyler from Grace's view. Tyler glared at him, annoyed. "Hey, buddy, back off. This is family business. Get lost."

James didn't flinch. A cold, dangerous smile spread across his face as he looked Tyler dead in the eye. "Actually, Tyler, it is my business. And you're the one who needs to leave."
