The Maid Smashed My Daughter’s Coffin with an Axe, Revealing a Dark Family Secret
Previously: When a young housemaid interrupts a wealthy family's private funeral with an axe, she uncovers a shocking truth that was meant to be buried forever.
With Eleanor’s exclamation, the solemn dignity of the funeral collapsed into utter pandemonium. Mia used the back of the axe to pry open the remaining locks of the heavy white casket. When the lid finally swung open, the mourners gasped. Emma Sterling, the twenty-six-year-old heiress, was lying on the satin pillows, her eyes fluttering open. She was pale and shivering violently, clutching a small, empty glass vial in her cold hand. She was alive, but barely conscious, her breathing shallow and ragged.
Arthur immediately tried to push Mia away, shouting to his private security guards. "She is having a post-mortem spasm! This is a medical anomaly, get this crazy maid out of here!" But the crowd was already murmuring, and several people were dialing 911. Emma slowly turned her head, her weak gaze landing on her father. With the last of her strength, she raised a trembling finger and pointed directly at Arthur.
"He... he did this to me,"she whispered before slipping back into unconsciousness.

The Trap Closes
The revelation struck the room like a thunderbolt. Arthur’s face turned an ashen gray, but his cold, calculating instincts quickly took over. As the paramedics arrived and rushed Emma to the nearest hospital, Arthur’s security team cornered Mia in the back of the chapel. They dragged her into a windowless holding room, locking the door from the outside. Arthur entered shortly after, his eyes cold and menacing.
"You think you're a hero, Mia?" Arthur hissed, leaning in close. "You're a penniless maid. I own this city, and I own the police. By tomorrow morning, you will be charged with desecrating a grave, assault, and the attempted theft of family heirlooms. No one will believe a word you say." He left her there in the dark, terrified and alone, knowing that Emma was still in grave danger at the hospital, completely at her father's mercy.
