The polished marble floors of the crowded shopping mall gleamed under the bright fluorescent lights, but for twenty-four-year-old Olivia, they felt like an ice rink. Ever since her devastating car accident six months ago, navigating the world on crutches had been a daily battle of physical pain and emotional exhaustion. Clutching a heavy shopping bag in one hand and balancing her weight on her crutches, her foot caught on a slick patch of floor. In a split second, her balance gave out, and she went crashing down, her belongings scattering across the cold marble.

A Cruel Confrontation

As Olivia gasped in pain, clutching her healing leg, her shopping bag burst open, spilling her personal items everywhere. Instead of offering assistance, a shadow loomed over her. Standing there was Victoria, a wealthy and notoriously cold socialite dressed in an elegant black bodycon dress. Looking down at Olivia with utter disgust, Victoria sneered, "Watch where you're dragging yourself."

Before Olivia could swallow her humiliation, a rugged, clean-shaven man in a classic black leather motorcycle jacket rushed forward. "Are you okay?" he asked, immediately kneeling to help her. Victoria rolled her eyes.

"And who are you supposed to be?"
she mocked. The man ignored her, but as he reached for a gold chain with a custom compass pendant that had spilled from Olivia's bag, he froze. His face went entirely pale. He stared at the chain, whispering, "No..."

Slowly, he pulled back his leather sleeve, revealing a bold tattoo that read "DANY." Olivia’s heart stopped. "Dany" was the childhood nickname only her brother Daniel used. She looked up at his rugged face, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Daniel?"
she whispered in disbelief, recognizing the eyes of her brother who had vanished five years ago.
