My Mother-in-Law Tore My Dream Wedding Dress But My Secret Camera Saved Me
Previously: On my wedding day, my mother-in-law cornered me and ripped my gown to shreds, thinking she could drive me away. She had no idea I was streaming every second.
James looked at the papers on the counter, then down at Chloe, who was still clutching her ruined dress. The silence in the room was suffocating. Catherine stood with her arms crossed, a smug smile returning to her face, confident she had won. But James simply shook his head. He stepped forward, picked up the pen resting on the counter, and signed his name on the disinheritance form without a moment's hesitation.
A New Beginning
"Keep the money, Mom," James said, his voice steady and resolute. "If being part of this family means accepting your cruelty, then I want no part of it. I would rather be poor with Chloe than rich with you."
Catherine gasped, her face twisting in shock as James knelt down, helped Chloe to her feet, and gently kissed her forehead. Just then, the kitchen door opened again. It was Chloe's mother, holding a garment bag. She had heard the commotion and rushed in. Seeing the torn gown, she smiled softly and opened the bag, revealing a breathtaking, vintage lace wedding dress.

"This was your grandmother’s dress, Chloe," her mother whispered. "I brought it just in case. It seems it was meant to be."
Within thirty minutes, Chloe was dressed in the stunning vintage gown, which fit her absolutely perfectly. But the biggest surprise came right before the ceremony. James’s father, Richard, arrived at the estate. He had seen the security feed, which had automatically synced to the family’s shared cloud account. Richard walked straight up to Catherine, handed her his own set of papers, and told her he was filing for divorce. He then turned to James and Chloe, embracing them warmly and assuring them that the trust belonged to James, and Catherine was the one being cut off.
As Chloe walked down the aisle in her grandmother's beautiful gown, she realized that true love and integrity would always outshine the grandest wealth. In trying to tear them apart, Catherine had only succeeded in destroying her own gilded cage, leaving James and Chloe to build a future rooted in real, unbreakable love.
