My Mud-Covered Wedding Dress Revealed My Fiancé's Shocking Secret
Previously: After her groom shoves her into the mud to save his tuxedo, Sarah calls off the wedding—only for her cowboy ex to reveal a devastating secret.
A New Dawn
The ballroom erupted into chaos. Arthur lunged forward to grab the document, but Luke easily sidestepped him, keeping the paper secure. Among the wealthy guests was Sheriff Thomas, a longtime friend of Sarah’s father who had been invited out of political courtesy by Arthur's family. Seeing the escalating confrontation, Sheriff Thomas stepped forward, his expression grave.
"Let me see that paper, Luke," the Sheriff commanded, his voice cutting through the noise.
Luke handed over the document. As the Sheriff scanned the pages, Arthur’s mother began screaming hysterically about trespassing, but her voice died down as the Sheriff turned his stern gaze to Arthur.
"This is a certified fraud investigation report from the state land board," Sheriff Thomas announced. "And this signature is a clear forgery. Arthur, you and your father have some serious questions to answer at the station."

Arthur stared in horror as two deputies escorted him and his father out of their own wedding. The high-society guests began to mutter in shock, their snickers turning into embarrassed silence. Sarah looked down at her mud-covered dress, then up at Luke.
"How did you get this?" she whispered, tears finally spilling over her cheeks.
Luke smiled, the smirk completely gone, replaced by the warm expression she had loved her entire life.
"I sold my champion stallion, Sarah. I partnered with the local land trust to buy back your father's debt. Your ranch is safe. It's yours. It always will be."
Sarah laughed through her tears. She reached out, not caring about the mud, and threw her arms around Luke's neck. He held her tight, whispering that she was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen. As they walked out of the marble ballroom hand-in-hand, leaving the glittering fake world behind, Sarah realized that true love doesn't mind getting dirty. True wealth isn't found in marble halls or pristine suits, but in the loyalty of those who stand by you when you're covered in mud.
