My Arrogant Cousin Humiliated My Husband, Until Her Own Husband Bowed To Him
Previously: When my wealthy cousin Victoria tried to humiliate my husband Arthur at a lavish wedding, she had no idea that her own billionaire husband was actually Arthur's subordinate.
The Masterstroke
My breath caught in my throat as I looked at Arthur. Victoria laughed triumphantly, believing she had delivered a fatal blow. But the panic on Arthur's face lasted for only a fraction of a second. Slowly, a cold, calculated smile spread across his lips. He looked up from the paper, his eyes locking onto Victoria and her father, who had just rushed over from the crowd.
"An impressive forgery," Arthur said softly, his voice carrying across the silent garden. "But you made one critical mistake. I knew there was a mole in my inner circle leaking corporate data. So, I planted this exact asset-transfer document in my private safe last week, complete with a decoy digital signature."
Charles’s father-in-law turned white. Arthur pulled out his phone and pressed a single button. Within moments, three men in dark suits stepped out from the shadows of the garden, accompanied by local police officers who had been waiting outside the gates.

"Officer, this is the evidence of corporate espionage, fraud, and attempted grand theft," Arthur said, handing the document to the lead detective. "As you can see, they have just publicly confessed to possessing stolen corporate assets."
The crowd gasped as the officers stepped forward, placing handcuffs on Victoria's father and a weeping Charles. Victoria screamed, her dream wedding dissolving into a public nightmare of flashing lights and sirens. Her lavish diamond necklace seemed to mock her as she stood alone in the ruins of her vanity.
Arthur turned to me, his eyes softening instantly. He took my hands in his, his gaze filled with genuine remorse. "I am so sorry I kept this from you, Sarah," he whispered. "I wanted to make sure I was loved for who I am, not what I own. And I wanted to protect you until I cleared the snakes out of my company. From now on, no more secrets."
As we walked out of the garden hand-in-hand, leaving the chaos behind, I realized that true power isn't about boasting wealth—it's about standing tall in the face of arrogance and letting the truth fight your battles.
