My Arrogant Fiancé Kicked My Cleaning Bucket, Unaware I Owned the Entire Ballroom
The Golden Trap
The Grand Plaza Ballroom was a masterpiece of gilded opulence. Massive crystal chandeliers cast a warm, shimmering glow over the gold-paneled walls, illuminating the city’s elite as they mingled in their designer tuxedos and silk gowns. But for Clara, the glittering atmosphere felt like a gilded cage. Standing near the grand staircase, she looked down at the cheap, grey cotton dress she had been forced to wear. Beside her foot sat a plastic bucket filled with soapy water.
Just an hour earlier, Beatrice, her future mother-in-law, had handed her the rags with a cold, dismissive sneer.
"A server spilled wine, and our staff is busy. Show us you can actually be useful for once, Clara,"Beatrice had whispered. Clara had turned to her fiancé, Julian, hoping for support. Instead, Julian had shrugged, muttering,
"Just do it, Clara. Don't embarrass me tonight. This gala is crucial for my company."

Humiliated but determined to keep the peace, Clara had knelt on the cold marble floor. She scrubbed as the guests began to arrive, enduring their hushed whispers and mocking stares. But Julian’s cruelty wasn't finished. Seeing an opportunity to show off his newfound power to his wealthy investors, he walked over with a smug grin. He pointed an angry, accusing finger at Clara.
"Get this mess out of here,"he demanded loudly, before viciously kicking her water bucket. The dirty water splashed violently across her legs.
That was the breaking point. Clara stood up slowly, her eyes locking onto Julian’s shocked face. With a swift, decisive movement, she grabbed the collar of her grey smock and tore it open. The velcro seams parted instantly, and the cheap fabric pooled at her feet. Underneath, she wore a stunning, custom-made silver beaded gown that sparkled like diamonds under the chandeliers. Before Julian could utter a word, Clara swung her hand and slapped him hard across the face. The sharp crack echoed through the silent ballroom. Leaving Julian stumbling backward in shock, Clara turned and walked away regally, leaving the wet rags on the glistening floor.
