Previously: After being framed by her wealthy in-laws and stripped of her military rank, Sarah returns to their elite gala in full uniform to deliver a shocking blow of justice.

The ballroom erupted into chaos. The very people who had spent the evening flattering Richard and Eleanor now shrank away from them, whispering in disgust. Before Richard could even attempt to salvage his reputation, the heavy double doors of the ballroom opened once more. This time, it wasn't a lone soldier who entered, but a squad of federal marshals.

They marched directly toward the stage, their badges gleaming under the chandelier light. The lead marshal stepped in front of the stunned couple, pulling out a pair of handcuffs.

"Richard and Eleanor Vance," the lead marshal announced, "you are under arrest for conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and military fraud."

Eleanor began to sob, her hands shaking as the cold steel of handcuffs locked around her wrists. Richard tried to protest, but his voice was gone. He looked up at Sarah one last time, pleading with his eyes for some shred of mercy. Sarah looked down at him, her expression calm and unyielding.

A New Era

"You thought you could destroy my life to protect your legacy," Sarah said, her voice carrying across the silent room. "But you forgot that integrity cannot be bought, and the truth always finds its way to the light."

As the marshals led the disgraced couple out of the ballroom in front of the entire city's elite, the crowd slowly began to applaud. The applause turned into a standing ovation for the newly appointed Major General. Sarah turned to Arthur and returned his salute, a deep sense of peace finally washing over her. She had lost her marriage and spent years fighting in the dark, but she had emerged victorious, her honor fully restored.

She had proven that no matter how powerful the enemy, truth and resilience will always triumph over deceit.
