Previously: For years, Diana's family treated her like an embarrassment who washed out of life. But when she showed up at her niece's high-society wedding, one shocking announcement changed everything forever.

A General's Justice

Diana looked at her brother-in-law, then at her trembling sister. The power was entirely in her hands, but she felt no urge for petty revenge. She was a soldier, governed by honor and duty. She looked past the desperate couple and saw her niece, Chloe, standing at the altar in her wedding gown, tears streaming down her face. Chloe had been the only family member who had ever loved Diana for who she was, not what she could provide.

Diana took the folder from Richard’s shaking hands. She opened it, scanning the documents with a practiced eye. "I don't bypass federal investigations, Richard," Diana said, her voice calm and authoritative. "But I do know how to read financial records. And according to this audit, your company isn't just failing because of a frozen contract. You've been draining funds."

Richard went pale. Diana turned her gaze to Rachel. "More specifically, you and Rachel have been embezzling from Chloe’s inheritance trust fund to pay for this lavish wedding and your own debts."

A collective gasp echoed through the church. Chloe looked at her parents in utter betrayal. Diana closed the folder and looked Richard dead in the eye.

"Here is what is going to happen," Diana commanded. "You will sign a legally binding agreement right now, transferring full control of Chloe's trust back to her, with interest. If you do, I will ensure your company's audit is processed with standard, unbiased speed, which will save you from immediate bankruptcy. If you refuse, I will personally hand this file to the federal prosecutors waiting outside."

With no other choice, Richard desperately signed the papers. Diana handed the documents to a shocked but deeply grateful Chloe, kissing her cheek. "Happy wedding day, sweetheart," Diana whispered. She then turned and walked out of the cathedral, her medals clinking softly, leaving her sister ruined by her own greed. True strength is not found in tearing others down, but in standing tall to protect the ones who truly matter.
