Previously: When Arthur Vance publicly fired his daughter Natalie to hand the family empire to his scheming new wife, he didn't realize Natalie held the keys to his entire downfall.

The Legacy Reclaimed

Victoria sneered, stepping away from Arthur to face Natalie.

"You think a court will believe you? Those shares were signed days ago. I control this family now, and tomorrow, the board will vote you out forever,"
she hissed, trying to maintain her grip on power. But she had underestimated the depth of Natalie’s preparation. Natalie tapped her phone once more, forwarding the files directly to the board's legal counsel and the family’s trusted attorney.

Suddenly, Arthur looked up. The fog in his eyes seemed to clear for a brief, agonizing second as he looked at the document in front of him, then at Victoria, and finally at his daughter.

"Natalie..."
he whispered, his voice cracking with emotion.
"I... I didn't know. She told me you wanted to put me away. She told me you hated me."
Tears welled in the old man's eyes as the reality of his wife's betrayal washed over him. He reached out a trembling hand toward Natalie.
"I'm so sorry, sweetheart."

Natalie rushed to his side, kneeling down and taking his hand.

"It's okay, Dad. I've got you. It's over now."
She looked up at Victoria, her voice cold as steel.
"The police and the board's legal team are already on their way. I suggest you pack your bags and leave before they arrive."
Realizing her grand scheme had utterly collapsed, Victoria backed away, her face pale with defeat, before fleeing the room with Claire trailing behind her.

In the weeks that followed, Natalie assumed her rightful place as the sole head of Vance Enterprises, honoring her mother’s legacy while ensuring her father received the best medical care and support. Arthur’s final years were spent surrounded by the daughter who loved him, proving that true strength lies not in the power we seize, but in the family we protect.
