My Father Fired Me to Favor His New Family, So I Exposed Their Secrets
Previously: When Arthur Vance publicly fired his daughter Natalie to hand the family empire to his scheming new wife, he didn't realize Natalie held the keys to his entire downfall.
The Shadow of Deception
Sitting in the quiet sanctuary of her car, Natalie watched the estate lights fade in her rearview mirror. Her phone buzzed relentlessly with incoming calls from her father, but she ignored them. Then, a text message from an anonymous number flashed on her screen. It contained two attachments: a secret transfer of thirty percent of Vance Enterprises’ shares to Victoria, and a confidential medical file. Natalie’s breath hitched as she read the diagnosis. Her father was suffering from rapidly advancing cognitive decline. He wasn't acting out of malice; he was being systematically manipulated and drugged by his new wife.
The emergency protocol Natalie had activated would trigger an immediate board review of the CEO’s mental fitness if challenged. If Victoria presented those signed shares tomorrow, she would seize total control of the company, using Arthur's cognitive state as leverage to force him out completely. Natalie realized she couldn't just walk away. To save her mother's legacy, she had to save the father who had just cast her aside.

She put the car in reverse and sped back up the winding driveway. Bypassing the locked security gates with her master key, she stormed back into the mansion and headed straight for Arthur’s private study. Through the cracked door, she saw Victoria hovering over Arthur, pressing a heavy fountain pen into his trembling hand.
"Just sign this power of attorney, Arthur, and we can handle Natalie together,"Victoria whispered, her voice dripping with sweet poison.
Natalie kicked the door open, the heavy oak slamming against the wall. Victoria spun around, her eyes flashing with venom.
"You have no right to be here! Get out!"she shrieked. Natalie stepped forward, holding up her phone displaying the medical files.
"I know about the dementia, Victoria. And I know you forced him to sign those shares when he wasn't of sound mind. It's over."
