My Father Left Me With a Ruthless Debt, But My Real Identity Changed Everything
Previously: When a ruthless debt collector cornered me in a dark corridor demanding my late father's dues, he thought I was an easy target—until I revealed who I actually was.
A New Order
The silence in the corridor was absolute. Marcus stared at the ring, the realization of his fatal mistake washing over him like ice water. To threaten a member of the Romanov bloodline was an automatic death sentence in their world. He looked back at his henchmen, but they had already raised their hands in submission, completely unwilling to cross the Syndicate's family.
Slowly, Marcus sank to his knees, his massive frame suddenly looking incredibly small on the dirty concrete floor. The ruthless enforcer who had pinned me by the throat just moments ago was now trembling, his head bowed in absolute terror.

"Please," Marcus stammered, his voice cracking. "We didn't know. We were just told to collect from the antique shop owner. We had no idea he was connected to the family. Please, spare us."
I looked down at him, feeling no pity, only a deep sense of closure. My father had spent his entire life trying to protect me from this world, keeping his debts and his past hidden to give me a normal life. But in the end, it was the very bloodline he tried to shield me from that had saved me. I slipped the silver ring back onto my finger and looked at the three terrified men before me.
"The debt is settled," I declared, my voice carrying the unquestionable authority of the Romanov name. "You will leave this shop, you will never return, and you will tell your bosses that this territory is now under my direct protection. If I ever see your faces again, you won't live long enough to regret it."
Without a word, Marcus and his henchmen scrambled to their feet and rushed toward the exit, practically tripping over themselves to escape the corridor. As the heavy steel door slammed shut behind them, the silence returned, peaceful and absolute. I looked around the dusty basement, knowing my life would never be the same, but ready to embrace the legacy I had inherited to protect my father's memory.
True strength isn't about the battles you seek, but knowing exactly who you are when you are forced to fight.
