My Fiancée Tried to Poison My Estate Guests Until a Brave Boy Screamed the Truth
Previously: When a disheveled young boy interrupted Winston's high-society banquet claiming the food was poisoned, everyone laughed—until the boy pointed to a dark secret hidden inside the fiancée's elegant designer purse.
The Unraveling of a Lie
Winston unzipped the luxury handbag with trembling fingers. Inside, nestled next to a small, unlabeled glass vial filled with a lethal white powder, was a glossy photograph. He pulled it out, and the color drained from his face. The photo showed Madeline standing arm-in-arm with a man Winston knew all too well: Arthur Vance, his estranged stepbrother and bitter business rival.
The pieces of the puzzle slammed together with brutal clarity. Arthur had vanished three years ago after a failed attempt to embezzle millions from the family firm. Now, it was clear he had sent Madeline to infiltrate Winston’s life, gain his trust, and eliminate him to claim the estate.

"You... and Arthur?" Winston whispered, holding up the photograph. "This whole engagement, the love you swore you had for me—it was all a setup?"
Madeline backed away, her elegant composure completely shattered. The guests murmured in horror, several of them standing up from their seats to distance themselves from the table. She looked around like a cornered animal, realizing that her security detail had already been disarmed by Tyler's men.
"Winston, please, let me explain," Madeline pleaded, her voice shaking. "Arthur forced me into this! He has my family! I didn't want to do it!"
But Lucas, the young boy, stepped forward, his eyes filled with tears of anger.
"She's lying!" Lucas cried. "She promised my father, who works as her driver, that she would pay for my sister's medical treatments if he helped her smuggle the poison inside. But when he refused, she threatened to ruin him! I had to stop her!"
Winston felt a wave of nausea. The woman he had planned to spend the rest of his life with was a cold-blooded conspirator. Just as Tyler stepped forward to restrain Madeline, Winston's phone vibrated in his pocket. The caller ID displayed a private number. He answered it, placing it on speaker.
"Is it done, Madeline?" a chillingly familiar voice asked from the receiver. It was Arthur.
