Previously: Victoria thought her parents loved her, but a secret arrangement for her marriage reveals a dark family plot that forces her to make a choice that will change everything.

The True Legacy

Victoria backed away until she pressed against the heavy mahogany desk. Arthur walked toward her, dialing a number on his phone.

"Julian, she knows everything,"
Arthur muttered into the receiver.
"Bring your men. We need to handle this tonight."
Victoria clutched the papers to her chest, her heart hammering as she prepared for the worst.

Within minutes, heavy footsteps echoed outside, and the study door was unlocked. A tall, imposing man in a tailored grey suit walked in. It was Julian Vance. But instead of the ruthless monster Victoria expected, Julian’s eyes softened the moment he looked at her. He looked past Arthur and stepped directly toward Victoria.

Arthur smirked, pointing at Victoria.

"Take her. We have a deal, Julian. Keep her quiet."
But Julian didn't move toward her with hostility. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a badge, followed by two plainclothes police officers who stepped into the room.

"The deal is off, Arthur,"
Julian said, his voice steady and powerful.
"I didn't agree to marry Victoria to help you. I signed that contract to get close enough to prove you abducted my sister's daughter five years ago. And now, we have all the evidence we need."

Arthur’s face drained of color as the officers stepped forward, handcuffing him. Eleanor, who had just rushed into the room, gasped in horror as she was also placed under arrest. Julian turned to Victoria, offering a gentle smile.

"Your real mother, Sarah, has been searching for you every single day. You are safe now, Victoria. It's time to go home."

As Victoria walked out of the mansion that had been her prison, she looked up at the night sky, finally feeling free. True family is not defined by the lies we are told, but by the love that fights to bring us back to the light.
