Before Robert could pull the trigger, a loud crack shattered the silence of the woods. It wasn't a gunshot, but the sound of heavy boots trampling through the dry underbrush. "Drop the weapon, Robert! Hands where we can see them!" yelled Captain Miller, leading a tactical team through the trees. Red laser sights painted Robert’s chest.
