Previously: When Sarah's ruthless ex-husband tried to strip her of her custody and her naval career in a festive courtroom, she stood tall and delivered a shocking defense that changed everything.

The Escalation of Betrayal

Sarah reached into her leather briefcase and pulled out a sealed manila envelope. She handed it to the bailiff to be passed to the judge.

"Your Honor, I submit to this court the financial records of a offshore shell company directly linked to my ex-husband,"
Sarah announced, her voice echoing in the silent room.
"These documents prove that the classified naval files presented by the opposition were not found during a routine audit. They were stolen by a compromised logistics officer who was bribed with fifty thousand dollars."

The courtroom went dead silent. Robert’s smug expression completely vanished, replaced by a sudden, pale stiffness. He gripped the edge of the mahogany table, his knuckles turning white. His lawyer scrambled to his feet, waving his hands dramatically.

"Objection, Your Honor! This is a desperate, slanderous diversion!"
the defense attorney shouted.
"These financial records are unverified. Even if they are real, there is absolutely no direct connection between my client and this alleged bribery. It is pure speculation!"

The judge carefully reviewed the documents, her brow furrowing. She looked up, her gaze shifting between Sarah and the trembling Robert.

"Lieutenant Commander Vance, your allegations are incredibly serious,"
the judge said.
"However, the defense is correct. While these bank statements are highly suspicious, they are circumstantial. Do you have direct, undeniable proof that Mr. Vance orchestrated this theft?"

Robert let out a slow, quiet breath, attempting to regain his composure. He smoothed his tie, trying to conjure back his smug grin. He believed he had covered his tracks perfectly through layers of shell corporations and untraceable digital agreements. He thought he was untouchable.

But Sarah looked toward the heavy double doors at the back of the courtroom.

"I do, Your Honor,"
Sarah said with absolute confidence.
"And I would like to call my final witness."

The heavy doors swung open, and the entire room turned to look.
