The officers marched in perfect unison down the aisle, stopping right in front of Clara. They snapped to attention and delivered a flawless salute. Clara returned the salute with practiced ease, her demeanor commanding the entire room. The guests whispered feverishly, realizing that the woman Eleanor had just insulted was not a low-ranking soldier, but a highly decorated military leader.

Eleanor’s face flushed a deep, angry red. She tried to maintain her composure, stepping between Clara and the officers. "What is the meaning of this?" she demanded, her voice shaking. "This is a private family ceremony. You have no right to disrupt my daughter's wedding!"

"Your late husband's true will was placed under a strict military trust," the chaplain announced, his voice echoing off the stone walls. "It was legally locked until his eldest daughter, Clara, achieved the rank of Brigadier General. As of 0800 hours today, that condition has been met."
