With the security guards finally reaching Wyatt and grabbing his arms, the ballroom held its collective breath. Raymond leaned down, whispering frantically into Olivia's ear, his breath hot and desperate. "Olivia, stay down. You're sick. If you try to stand, you'll fall and ruin your life. Trust me."

But the trust was gone. Olivia looked at Wyatt, who gave her a reassuring nod despite being held by the guards. The crowd gasped as Olivia slowly pushed herself upward. Her knees shook violently, and for a second, she wavered. Raymond reached out to pull her back down, but several onlookers stepped forward, blocking his path. With one final, agonizing effort, Olivia stood completely upright. The emerald dress flowed beautifully around her as she stood on her own two feet, tears streaming down her face.

"I can feel them," Olivia whispered, her voice carrying through the silent room. "I can feel my legs."

The ballroom erupted into thunderous applause. Raymond slumped into a nearby chair, his face entirely devoid of color, knowing his empire of lies had collapsed. Within minutes, the police arrived, summoned by one of the wealthy guests. They took Raymond into custody, along with the medical bottle as evidence of his years of systematic poisoning.

Wyatt was released by the guards. He walked over to Olivia, offering his arm for support. She took it, taking her very first steps toward a bright, independent future she thought she had lost forever.
