Before Thomas could process the overwhelming revelation, the screech of tires echoed through the damp alleyway. A sleek black luxury sedan pulled up to the curb, and a stern, wealthy older man stepped out. It was Richard, Thomas’s adoptive father. Thomas pulled his arm away, holding up the tattered photograph.
