Previously: When Lieutenant Clara Vale was ordered to remove her jacket in front of her entire platoon, she expected humiliation. Instead, the mark on her back exposed a deep military conspiracy.

Commander Vance sneered, stepping closer as the guards approached with heavy steel handcuffs. 'You thought you could hide among us, Clara? You are a member of a rogue, disgraced faction. Your father was a traitor, and you carry his mark of treason on your skin,' he hissed, his voice loud enough for the front ranks to hear. He wanted to destroy her reputation before he destroyed her life.

The Conspiracy Exposed

But Clara did not flinch. She stood tall, her eyes burning with a fierce, quiet defiance. 'My father didn't betray this country, Vance. You did,' she said, her voice carrying across the quieted courtyard. 'Five years ago, the Ghost Wolves were sent into the mountains on a classified mission. You and the generals on that balcony cut our comms and left us to die. You did it to cover up the illegal weapons cache you sold to the insurgency.'

The platoon gasped. The soldiers looked at one another, confusion and anger spreading through the ranks. These were men and women who had sworn to protect their country, now realizing their top commanders might be the real enemy.

'Silence!' Vance roared, drawing his sidearm. 'You are speaking treason! Guards, take her down now!'

But the guards hesitated. They looked at Clara, then at the wolf tattoo on her back—a symbol of ultimate sacrifice and loyalty. They looked at the trembling hand of their commander. No one moved to arrest her.

Clara reached into her pocket and pulled out a small, military-grade encrypted drive. 'This drive contains the complete satellite logs from that night. It has the audio recordings of you, Commander Vance, ordering the air support to stand down while my team was wiped out. I didn't just survive that night, Vance. I spent five years gathering the evidence to hang you all.'

Vance's face drained of color. He pointed his weapon directly at her chest, his finger tightening on the trigger. 'Give me the drive, Clara, or I will end you right here.'
