My Parents Arranged My Marriage for Money, But My Groom Had a Dark Secret
Previously: Victoria thought her parents loved her, but a lavish family dinner reveals a cold-blooded betrayal that forces her to choose between her inheritance and her freedom.
A New Beginning
Victoria backed away, her heart hammering against her ribs.
"Who is she?"she demanded, holding up the photograph of the woman who looked so much like her.
"And why did you destroy my family to get to me?"
Julian closed the distance between them, but the coldness in his eyes softened into a profound sadness. He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"That was my older sister, Clara,"he revealed, his voice thick with emotion.
"Years ago, your parents framed her for a massive embezzlement scheme to cover up their own financial crimes. It ruined her life, and she took her own life because of the shame. I swore I would make them pay."

Victoria gasped, the pieces of the puzzle falling into place.
"But why me?"she whispered.
Julian looked at her earnestly.
"I needed to get close to them to expose them. But I also knew they would eventually destroy you to save themselves, just like they did Clara. I wanted you to find this. I need your help to bring them down, Victoria. You don't deserve to suffer for their sins."
Realizing the depth of her parents' cruelty, Victoria made her choice. At the rehearsal dinner the following evening, in front of high society's elite, Victoria and Julian didn't announce their wedding. Instead, they projected the financial records and the evidence of Clara’s innocence onto the grand screens. The revelation sent shockwaves through the crowd, and within hours, Arthur and Eleanor were facing federal charges.
With her parents' empire finally dismantled, the forced marriage was called off. Yet, standing in the quiet aftermath, Victoria looked at Julian not as an enemy, but as an ally. They had both survived the shadows of their families' pasts, and for the first time, they had the freedom to choose their own future. True freedom is not found in escaping our past, but in having the courage to build a truth-filled future on our own terms.
