Previously: When pregnant Sarah hugged a security dog at the airport, she didn't expect the animal to react. But this dog held the key to her late husband's final secret.

A Threat in the Terminal

Before Officer Miller could ask Sarah how she knew the dog, a cold, booming voice shattered the tender moment.

"So, this is where you've been hiding," a man sneered.

Sarah froze. She looked up to see Arthur, her late husband’s estranged, wealthy father. Behind him stood two stern-faced lawyers holding leather briefcases. Arthur had never accepted Sarah, viewing her as a middle-class opportunist who had ruined his son’s future. Now that Leo was gone, Arthur was obsessed with claiming custody of the unborn child, believing his wealth gave him the right to do so.

"Arthur, please," Sarah gasped, struggling to stand up. "Leave me alone. I'm boarding my flight."
"You aren't going anywhere," Arthur replied coldly, gesturing to his lawyers. "We have filed emergency custody papers. Sign them now, relinquishing your parental rights, or we will tie you up in court until you have absolutely nothing left. You cannot afford to fight me, Sarah."

The lawyers stepped forward, pressing the documents toward her. Sarah felt the room spin. She was broke, exhausted, and utterly defenseless against Arthur’s millions.

But Buster had other ideas. Sensing the intense malice radiating from Arthur, the German Shepherd stepped directly in front of Sarah. His friendly demeanor vanished instantly. He bared his teeth, letting out a low, menacing growl that echoed off the terminal walls.

"Get that beast away from me!" Arthur shrieked, backing away in terror.

Officer Miller stepped forward, placing a protective hand on Sarah’s shoulder while holding Buster's leash firmly.

"Sir, you are harassing a passenger," Miller said, his voice hard as steel. "Back off immediately, or I will have airport security arrest you for disturbing the peace."

Arthur scoffed, adjusting his expensive tie.

"Do you know who I am? I can have your job by sunset!" Arthur threatened. "That girl is unfit, and she's trying to steal my son's legacy!"
